Bengaluru: Deputy Chief Minister D. K. Shivakumar described his recent visit to Delhi as “very fruitful,” stating that several proposals crucial to Karnataka’s infrastructure and irrigation sector were placed before the central government.
Speaking to reporters in Bengaluru, Shivakumar said, “Our trip to Delhi was very fruitful in the interest of the government and the interest of Karnataka. We have submitted many projects to them and put forward our demands. Several clearances are required, especially in the case of irrigation. I believe I have submitted all the proposals.”
He refrained from responding directly to recent remarks made by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, instead choosing to underscore his focus on party and governance responsibilities. “I don’t want to comment on that. It is his own statement, and he has every right to say whatever he desires. As the party president, I have been given the responsibility to build the party here and safeguard the interests of both the government and the party. I am focused only on that,” he added.
