PM Modi’s Message to BJP’s New Team: Here’s What the Prime Minister Told the Party’s New Office-Bearers

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday met the Bharatiya Janata Party’s newly appointed national office-bearers at the party headquarters in New Delhi, marking his first interaction with the revamped organisational team.

The meeting focused on strengthening the BJP’s presence at the grassroots level, improving communication with the public and keeping the party’s organisational work closely connected with people.

According to sources, Modi interacted individually with the new office-bearers and gave them an opportunity to share their views and ideas. He stressed the importance of remaining connected with citizens and continuing efforts to strengthen the BJP’s organisational ideology.

The Prime Minister also urged the new team to remain committed to public service and work with a sense of responsibility towards the country.

After the meeting, Modi described the interaction as an opportunity for exchanging ideas and perspectives aimed at improving the party’s connection with the people.

“Organisational meetings are all about new ideas and perspectives aimed at strengthening the Party and deepening connect with the people. Great interaction with fellow Party colleagues and the new organisational team!” Modi said in a post on X.

The meeting came a day after the BJP’s new national office-bearers held their first organisational gathering under party president Nitin Nabin. The revamped team is expected to play an important role in expanding the party’s outreach and preparing its organisational machinery for upcoming political challenges.

The BJP also used the meeting to take up the issue of Vande Mataram. The party adopted a resolution defending the national song and criticised the Congress decision to restrict its use at party programmes to its first two stanzas.

The BJP has also announced plans to focus more strongly on younger voters, particularly members of Gen Z. A special team led by Nitin Nabin and including former Union minister Smriti Irani and other leaders will work on strengthening the party’s engagement with young people.

The party is also preparing for a nationwide outreach programme later this year.

The Seva Sankalp Abhiyan is scheduled to begin on September 17 and will continue for a month. The campaign is linked to Modi completing 25 years in public life as the head of a government, beginning with his tenure as Gujarat chief minister in 2001.

BJP national general secretary Vinod Tawde said the campaign would encourage people, particularly young citizens, to participate in social service activities.

“As Modi is going to complete 25 years (as the head of the government) on October 17 this year, since he first took oath as chief minister of Gujarat on October 7, 2001, we decided to launch a nationwide month-long campaign, Seva Sankalp Abhiyan, keeping the significance of this 25-year milestone in mind,” Tawde said.

He added that the initiative would also encourage young people to share their social-service activities online.

“Under the Seva Setu Abhiyan, we are going to appeal to people, especially youth, to engage in social service activities and make reels for others to get inspiration to do such work,” he added.

The BJP’s latest organisational push therefore combines grassroots mobilisation, youth outreach and public-service initiatives, with the party seeking to strengthen its connection with different sections of society through its newly appointed national team.
