Srinagar: A three-day (May 19 to May 21) Inter Battalion (Sector level) football competition was organised by the 57 Battalion of the Border Security Force (BSF) at its headquarters at Handwara.
The match was inaugurated by Surendra Mishra, Commandant, 57 Bn BSF on May 19. In this competition, the teams of 27, 57, 140 and 172 Battalions of the BSF participated.
On May 21, the final match was played between 57 & 172 Bn BSF and the 172Bn of the BSF won the final match.
The first prize was given to the winning team (172 Bn BSF) by A K Vidyarthi, DIG SHQ BSF Kupwara in presence of Surendra Mishra Commandant 57 Bn BSF, A K Mishra, 2IC, other officers, all SOs & Jawans.
A K Vidyarthi DIG SHQ BSF Kupwara congratulated the winning team and addressed the players of all the teams and motivated them for their better performance.
