Srinagar: In a remarkable display of dedication to the community and swift action, Chowkibal garrison battalion of Indian Army recently came to the rescue of a civilian facing a life-threatening heart attack. The incident unfolded when Trehgam resident Ashiq Hussain suddenly experienced severe chest pain while doing his routine job of casual labourer.
The RMO of Chowkibal battalion happened to be in the vicinity and without hesitation, he swiftly responded to the emergency call, rushing to the aid of the distressed civilian.
Utilizing their first aid training and equipped with essential medical supplies, the army personnel skillfully administered initial aid to stabilize the individual before transporting them to the nearest Army medical facility at Drugmulla. The timely intervention proved crucial in preventing further complications and potentially saving the civilian’s life.
The incident serves as a testament to the Indian Army’s dedication not only to national security but also to the well-being of the communities they serve.
