Indian Army organises inter-AGS elocution competition at AGS Krusan

Srinagar: Keeping in consonance with India’s Presidency of the prestigious G-20, An Inter-Army Goodwill School (AGS) elocution competition for the students of class 5th to 10th was conducted at AGS Krusan. The aim of the competition was to enhance the knowledge, instil confidence and promote a sense of public speaking in the students of Army Goodwill School.

The event was attended by 145 students including 36 participants and 26 teachers of AGS Ahgam, AGS Bandipora, AGS Budkut, AGS Chandigam, AGS Krusan, AGS Hajin, AGS Hanzik, AGS Margund, AGS Sopore from various parts of valley. Chief guest for the event was Aijaz Ahmad, Sub District Magistrate, Sogam and Mehbooba Banu, vice principal degree college, Sogam.

The winners of the event were felicitated with awards.

Senior Category – 1st prize – Sayeeda Seerat, AGS Hanzik, 2nd prize – Soliha Farooq, AGS Krusan and 3rd prize – Mehvish Amin, AGS Budkut 

Junior Category – 1st prize – Urba Qayoom, AGS Krusan, 2nd prize – Shaima Lone, AGS Bandipora and 3rd prize – Iram Ashraf, AGS Hajin

The audience were thankful to the Indian Army for conducting such an extravagant event which concluded with the singing of the National Anthem.
