Indian Army organised a display of weapons and equipment used by the armed forces

Srinagar: The Indian Army organised a weapon’s display programme to instil a sense of pride, faith and confidence in the custodians of national security in the minds of the local populace. The event was endeavour to spread awareness among the youth and school children about the culture, ethos and combat profile of the Indian Army. It also provided a platform for civil-military interaction.

The equipment display was organised as a part of the ‘Know your Army’ campaign. A day-long display of military equipment gave visitors a rare opportunity to see how the Indian Army operates to keep the nation safe and secure. The event witnessed a footfall of approximately over 200 local people.

The attendees were captivated by the large assortment of equipment used by the Indian Army personnel. The event also offered an opportune moment to guide the youth about the Agniveer Scheme and the prospects of a bright career in the Armed Forces.

The display kindled patriotic fervour and pride amongst the youth and facilitated educating them about the most capable and relevant instruments of comprehensive national power. 

The hearty interaction between the Armed Forces personnel and the locals further strengthened the bond and bonhomie among them, thereby cementing the citizen-soldier connect. The event witnessed immense exuberance and response from the population.
