Indian Air Force Chief says Air Force undergoing monumental transformation with rapid infusion of technologies

Chief of Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal R.K.S. Bhadauria today Indian Air Force is undergoing a monumental transformation with rapid infusion of technologies due to evolving security challenges and rising geopolitical uncertainty in the neighbourhood. He was addressing a media conference after the passing out parade at the Air Force Academy at Dundigal near Hyderabad.

Mr said . Bhadauria said the Rafale aircraft induction programme is going on as per the schedule. He said there may be minor changes due to the pandemic but it is continuing as per the plan. Responding to a question, he said the strategic advantage that the IAF has at LAC will continue and it is taking all necessary measures that need to be taken.

However, he said the deployment of forces will be changed according to the needs. Referring to the concerns relating to technology in S-400s, he said there are no concerns. He further said the IAF will focus on digitization, networking and advanced technologies in the coming days.
He said the last few decades have clearly established the critical role of air force in achieving victory in any conflict and said the capability enhancement assumes tremendous significance in the context.

He asked the newly commissioned flying officers of the Indian Air Force to constantly upgrade themselves as technology has never been as important as now, amidst unprecedented challenges.
He recalled that the IAF played a proactive role during the Covid pandemic by helping in the transportation of medical oxygen and crucial medical equipment.

The Chief of Air Staff presented Wings and Bravets to Flight Cadets, who successfully completed their training at the academy. Over 160 officers passed out of the academy including 11 of Indian Navy and Coast Guards.
