New Delhi: In a strategic move to counter Pakistan’s narrative and consolidate global support, India is preparing to dispatch multiple all-party MP delegations on a foreign outreach mission following the recent military confrontation between the two neighbours, government sources told India Today on Friday.

The initiative, being coordinated by Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju, will see Members of Parliament from across party lines travelling to key international capitals to present India’s position on the April conflict, which saw cross-border hostilities erupt after a deadly terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pahalgam on April 22.

As per the plan, delegations comprising 5-6 MPs each will be sent to countries such as the United States, United Kingdom, South Africa, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates. Invitations have already been circulated to selected MPs, and the diplomatic outreach is expected to commence after May 22, sources confirmed.

Senior parliamentarians — primarily from the ruling NDA — will lead the delegations. These groups will engage with foreign lawmakers, diplomats, and policy experts to explain the Indian position on the conflict, emphasizing the necessity of ‘Operation Sindoor’, which was launched by India to neutralize terror camps operating in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).

India’s retaliation came after 26 civilians were killed in the Pahalgam terror strike. The Indian armed forces responded with precision air and drone strikes across the border, dismantling nine terror hideouts and eliminating over 100 terrorists, according to official reports.
