India administers more than 131 crore 18 lakh vaccine doses; recovery rate stands at 98.36 percent

Over 131 crore 18 lakh doses of COVID vaccine have been administered in the country so far under the Nationwide Vaccination Drive. Union Health Ministry said, more than 74 lakh 57 thousand vaccine doses were administered in the last 24 hours. The Ministry said, seven thousand 678 COVID patients recovered during the last 24 hours and the national recovery rate stands at 98.36 percent. Till now, more than three crore 41 lakh people have recovered from COVID-19.

The country reported eight thousand 503 new Covid cases in the last 24 hours. Currently, India’s active caseload is around 94 thousand. Presently the active cases constitute 0.27 percent of the country’s total Positive Cases, which is the lowest since March last year.

The Ministry said, the testing capacity across the country continues to be expanded and more than 65 crore 32 lakh COVID-19 tests have been conducted so far.
