The Income Tax Department, Mumbai is committed to curb the misuse of money power during the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections, 2024. With a view to ensure free and fair elections, an election expenditure monitoring mechanism consisting of a 24×7 control room has been set up by the Income-Tax Department, Mumbai. This will be in operation till the date of polling in Mumbai i.e. 20th May, 2024.
