Bijapur: An IED blast rocked Chhattisgarh’s Bijapur district on Monday afternoon, resulting in the deaths of at least nine individuals. According to reports, the attack was carried out by Naxals who targeted a vehicle carrying security force personnel.
IG Bastar confirmed to ANI that the victims included eight DRG jawans from Dantewada and one driver. The vehicle was blown up by Naxals while the personnel were returning after a joint operation between the districts of Dantewada, Narayanpur, and Bijapur. The tragic incident has sent shockwaves through the region, with authorities launching an investigation into the attack.
