Here’s the List of Victims from the Thane Local Train Tragedy Between Diva and Mumbra

Mumbai: A tragic incident unfolded on Monday morning around 9 AM, when a horrific mishap occurred between Diva and Mumbra railway stations in Thane district. Thirteen individuals fell off a crowded local train, out of which four tragically lost their lives, while nine others are undergoing treatment. Shocking visuals of injured passengers lying on the tracks have surfaced online, sparking outrage and concern over local train safety.

All injured passengers have been shifted to Thane General Hospital and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Hospital, with two critically injured victims being transferred to Jupiter Hospital. The Maharashtra government has taken immediate action, directing medical teams to provide proper care to the injured.

Here’s the list of victims:

1. Shiva Gawli – 23-year-old male. Shifted from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Hospital to Jupiter Hospital due to critical condition.
2. Aadesh Bhoir – 26-year-old male, resident of Adhgaon, Kasara. Stable condition. Receiving treatment at Shivaji Maharaj Hospital.
3. Anil More – 40-year-old male. In critical condition, shifted to Jupiter Hospital.
4. Tushar Bhagat – 22-year-old male, was travelling from Titwala to Thane. Stable condition. Receiving treatment at Shivaji Maharaj Hospital.
5. Manish Saroj – 26-year-old male, resident of Sabegaon, Diva. Stable condition. Undergoing treatment at Shivaji Maharaj Hospital.
6. Machhindra Gotarne – 39-year-old male, resident of Vashind. Stable condition. Receiving treatment at Shivaji Maharaj Hospital.
7. Sneha Dhonde – 21-year-old female, resident of Titwala, was travelling to Thane. Stable condition. Receiving treatment at Shivaji Maharaj Hospital.
8. Priyanka Bhatia – 26-year-old female, resident of Shahad, Kalyan. Stable condition. Receiving treatment at Shivaji Maharaj Hospital.

Deceased individuals identified in the incident are:

1. Ketan Dilip Saroj – 23-year-old male, resident of Tanaji Nagar, Ulhasnagar.
2. Rahul Santosh Gupta – Details yet to be fully confirmed.
3. Vicky Babasaheb Mukhidal – 34-year-old male, employee of the Railway Police.
4. One unidentified male – Efforts are underway to establish his identity.

Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and both Deputy Chief Ministers expressed their deep condolences to the bereaved families. They confirmed that the state government is overseeing treatment and support operations for the injured, and that local authorities are coordinating relief efforts. “We are praying for the speedy recovery of the injured,” said Shinde. Meanwhile, the Railway Department has begun an internal investigation into the causes of the tragedy.
