India Meteorological Department has issued an Orange alert for Dhule, Nandurbar, Jalgaon, Nashik and Aurangabad district of Maharashtra.
Heavy to very heavy rains are expected at isolated places in these districts.
Light to moderate rains are expected in other districts of the state.
Till date, Nandurbar, Dhule, Jalgaon, Buldhana, Amaravati and Gondia districts have received upto 52 per cent less rainfall than normal.
Meanwhile, two women lost their lives due to lightning in Chandrapur district while nine others were injured in Bhandara in last two days.
