Mumbai: Heart-wrenching scenes unfolded at Baramati Medical College on Wednesday as members of the Pawar family arrived to see Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar for the last time, hours after his death in a tragic plane crash.
As the family reached the hospital premises, grief overwhelmed them. Ajit Pawar’s wife, Sunetra Pawar, was seen breaking down, unable to hold back her tears while being supported by relatives and close aides. His cousin and NCP leader Supriya Sule was also visibly shaken, struggling to cope with the sudden loss. Emotional visuals from the spot showed Rohit Pawar with tear-filled eyes, standing silently as the reality of the tragedy set in.
The atmosphere at the medical college turned heavy as family members, party workers, and supporters gathered, many in shock and disbelief. Those present described the moment as deeply painful, with the Pawar family finding it difficult to accept the sudden and untimely end of a leader who had remained active in public life till his final day.
