“350+ Patients Treated Free” — Indian Army Holds Medical Camp in Handwara’s Remote Rajwar Area

A major healthcare initiative was carried out in Jammu & Kashmir as the Indian Army organised a free medical and veterinary camp in the Rajwar area of Handwara, bringing much-needed relief to local residents.

Large Turnout at Medical Camp

The camp, held at Wader Rajwar in Handwara, saw a strong response from villagers. A large number of people visited the camp to receive free treatment and medical advice.

Doctors and Specialists Participate

A team of doctors from Government Medical College (GMC) Handwara, along with Army medical staff and veterinary experts, participated in the initiative to provide comprehensive healthcare services.

Hundreds of Patients Benefited

During the camp:

  • More than 350 patients received medical check-ups and medicines
  • Around 90 veterinary cases were treated

Medicines and consultations were provided free of cost to all beneficiaries.

Support for Livestock Owners

Veterinary doctors also examined animals and provided treatment to livestock, which is a key source of livelihood for many families in the region.

Locals Express Gratitude

Residents appreciated the effort and thanked the Army and medical teams for reaching a remote area where access to healthcare is limited.
