MP Rahul Shewale raised concern over this issue regarding national security in writing to PMO

Mumbai: Office of MP Rahul Shewale received a letter from the Ministry of Home Affairs in reference to his request made back in February to desist Indian Artists to continue performing in concerts organised by an event promoter named Rehan Siddiqui who is also engaged in spreading anti-hinduism propoganda for the past few years and accused of serious crimes like money laundering and human trafficking. Confirmed by the Government of India, Rehan Siddiqui along with Rakesh Kaushal and Darshan Mehta have been blacklisted on the recommendations of the Consulate General of India, Houston.

However the Government of India in their recent reply to MP Shewale’s demand stated that the trio of Rehan Siddqui, Rakesh Kaushal and Darshan Mehta are blacklisted and the Embassy of India in Washington DC and the Consulate General of India in Houston have also been requested to engage with bona-fide ‘Bollywood Affiliated’ local entities to ensure that appropriate message is conveyed to Indian actors and artists, so that they disassociate themselves form such anti-national elements.

According to MP Shewale, the Indian community in Huston, Texas raised this matter of concern addressing him back in July,2019. In his letter he stated the whole organising network of Rehan Siddiqui and how he is being supported by Indian-origin show promoters like Jai Singh of Bright Brain Entertainment, Rakesh Kaushal and Darshan Mehta of Shree Balaji Entertainment. He raised concern over indian-origin show promoters supporting Siddiqui whose radio station in Texas is funded by local Pakistanis and Pakistan Government itself. Jai Singh of Bright Brain Entertainment is already declared as a Khalistan Terrorist and is also prohibited from visiting India. Popular names like Mika Singh, Sonu Nigam, Shreya Goshal, Palak Munchal, Neha Kakkar, Shankar Mahadevan, Arijit Singh, Daljit Dosanj performed at Siddiqui’s organised shows in the past.

MP Shewale following the ‘Zero Tolerance’ policy on terrorism demanded that the existing link between Siddiqui and our Indian Artists to be served.
