“Even Our Neighbours Didn’t Support Us”: Vijay Wadettiwar on India’s Anti-Terror Diplomacy

Mumbai: As the Central government dispatches an all-party delegation to key partner nations to bolster India’s global outreach in the fight against terrorism, Maharashtra Congress leader Vijay Wadettiwar has raised pointed concerns over India’s lack of international support in recent years.

Commenting on the initiative, Wadettiwar said, “In the last 10 years, during the Modi-led central government when our fight against Pakistan began, no one showed willingness to help India or stand with us. Now the situation has become very serious. Even our neighboring countries have not openly supported us. The countries we helped also did not stand by us. In such a situation, by sending this delegation, the government wants to strengthen relations with everyone…”

The remarks come at a time when India is intensifying its diplomatic efforts to counter cross-border terrorism and radical extremism by building stronger coalitions with international partners. The all-party delegation is expected to visit several
