Chennai: Tamil Nadu’s ruling Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) is set to intensify its opposition to the National Education Policy (NEP) with a statewide agitation against the three-language formula. The party has scheduled public meetings across all districts on March 12 under the banner “Tamil Nadu Will Fight, Tamil Nadu Will Win.”

Over the past few days, the DMK youth wing has already held public meetings in all 234 assembly constituencies, mobilizing public sentiment against what the party claims is an attempt to impose Hindi and erode Tamil Nadu’s linguistic and cultural identity.

In addition to the language issue, the DMK will use the agitation to highlight concerns over the Union government’s proposed delimitation exercise and alleged financial discrimination against Tamil Nadu. The party accuses the BJP-led central government of policies that undermine the state’s political and economic interests. All DMK MPs and MLAs are expected to participate in the protests.

During the meetings, Chief Minister M.K. Stalin will administer the “One Goal” oath, urging attendees to resist Hindi imposition and safeguard Tamil Nadu’s future. The initiative is also aimed at training and grooming young political leaders, enhancing their public speaking and organizational skills.
