Mumbai: In the last two-and-a-half months, riots have broken out in 10 places in Maharashtra. The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is behind these riots and these riots are being organized to divert attention from the issues of inflation, unemployment and farmers. Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee President Nana Patole has alleged that Bharatiya Janata Party’s devious plan is to make Manipur of Maharashtra by using their power.

Speaking to reporters in this regard, Congress state president Nana Patole said that riots were organized in 10 places in the state including Amravati, Akola, Shegaon, Nashik, Ahmednagar, Kolhapur. This cunning ploy of the Bharatiya Janata Party could not succeed as the ideology of Shahu, Phule, Ambedkar is deeply rooted in Maharashtra. Even in Rajrishi Shahu Maharaj’s Kolhapur, BJP tried to create religious discord, but the BJP’s conspiracy was exposed by the people and so this plan also failed.

As the people of the state have exercised restraint to keep the social harmony is the main religion of the state intact. The public does not support such a conspiracy. The Congress party held a meeting with the Director General of Police and the Governor regarding law and order in the state, but nothing concrete has been done so far.

At a time when there are important problems like inflation and unemployment, the BJP government does not say anything about it and does not take any decisions that will give relief to the people. Farmers are facing climate-related challenges, the government only announces help but it does not reach the farmers. Only the other day the Chief Minister announced an aid of Rs. 1500 crore but where did the relief announced earlier go? The farmers did not get it. Since there are all these issues, the government is trying to create riots to divert the public’s attention from it, said the Congress state president.
