Mumbai: A delegation of Maharashtra BJP-led by the leader of the opposition, Devendra Fadnavis today called on Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari and handed over a representation on the “instability” in the state.

Talking to reporters after the meeting, Fadnavis said that he has urged the governor to seek reports from the state government on the action taken by it on the Covid crisis and the allegation made by former police commissioner Param Bir Singh against home minister Anil Deshmukh.

Questioning the silence maintained by chief minister Uddhav Thackeray, the BJP leader said he has also urged the governor to make the CM speak on the issue.

He said the governor has every right to seek a report from the Chief Minister.

Taking a swipe at Congress, Fadnavis said it appears that the grand old party has become non-existential as it has chosen to remain silent.

The BJP has handed over a representation that contains 100 incidents on which it alleged that the government has not performed its constitutional duty.

The BJP delegation consisted of state party chief Chandrakant Patil, senior leader Sudhir Mungantiwar among others.
