Dehradun: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Monday reaffirmed his government’s strong stance on preserving the cultural and demographic identity of the state, declaring that strict action is being taken against what he described as “land jihad”, “love jihad”, and “spit jihad”.
“Our resolve is that the demography here should not change, and we are working towards it,” said CM Dhami, speaking at a public gathering in Dehradun. “We have taken strict action against land jihad, love jihad, and spit jihad. I believe in action more than words.”
He emphasized the importance of safeguarding the state’s cultural and spiritual heritage, which he referred to as the “original existence” of Devbhumi (Land of the Gods). “The original existence of Devbhumi must be preserved. This is my pledge and the pledge of Devbhumi,” Dhami declared.
