New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Friday announced financial assistance of ₹5 crore to support Punjab’s flood relief efforts. The contribution will be made to the Punjab Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.
Extending solidarity with the people of Punjab, Gupta said, “Flood conditions are currently prevailing in our neighbouring state of Punjab, and given the kind of circumstances in which the residents there are living, I express my deepest sympathies. May God grant relief to all of them soon from this calamity. On behalf of the Delhi government, we announce assistance of 5 crore rupees to the Punjab CM Relief Fund… in this hour of grief, Delhi stands shoulder to shoulder with them.”
