Bollywood actor Deepika Padukone is reportedly continuing to work on her upcoming projects despite being seven months pregnant. According to media reports, the actor is completing crucial portions of director Atlee’s much-awaited film Raaka, starring Allu Arjun, before taking maternity leave ahead of welcoming her second child with husband Ranveer Singh.
The reports suggest that Deepika has remained committed to her filming schedule and is currently shooting physically demanding action sequences for Raaka. Her dedication has attracted attention as she continues work while preparing for motherhood for the second time.
Deepika Reportedly Completing Major Action Scenes
As per reports, the actor is participating in intense action sequences, including night shoots, to ensure her portions are completed before she begins her maternity break. The development comes months after discussions around her preferred work schedule, with reports earlier suggesting she had requested balanced shooting hours.
A crew member quoted by Variety India praised the actor’s professionalism, saying:”She was determined to do everything to complete the film before she takes a maternity break. Some of the action sequences are very demanding, almost gruelling, but despite the challenges, she has been able to accomplish this. It is inspiring for everyone on the sets to see Deepika perform like this. Not to forget, she has a one-and-a-half-year-old daughter at home, who she also gets her unwavering attention.”
Neither Deepika Padukone nor the makers of Raaka have officially commented on the report.
‘Raaka’ Cast Yet to Be Fully Announced
So far, the filmmakers have officially confirmed Allu Arjun and Deepika Padukone as the lead pair. However, industry reports have claimed that Rashmika Mandanna, Janhvi Kapoor and Mrunal Thakur may also be part of the film, though their casting has not been formally announced.
The film is reportedly eyeing a theatrical release in December 2027, but an official release date is still awaited.
‘King’ Set for Release This Year
Before Raaka reaches cinemas, audiences will see Deepika Padukone alongside Shah Rukh Khan in King, one of the year’s biggest upcoming releases. The film also features Rani Mukerji, Abhishek Bachchan, Suhana Khan, Abhay Verma, Arshad Warsi and Anil Kapoor in prominent roles.
King is scheduled to release in theatres on December 23, 2026, according to the announced release plan.
While reports continue to highlight Deepika Padukone’s dedication to completing her professional commitments during pregnancy, official confirmation regarding the shooting schedule of Raaka is still awaited from the production team.
