Mumbai on December 24 recorded 683 new Covid-19 cases which is the highest single day count since October 6.
The number of active patients is 3,227 and the positivity rate is 1.52 per cent while 40,472 tests have been conducted in the last 24 hours.
City recorded 1 death due to coronavirus on Friday which pushed its fatality count to 16,368 as per data released by the city’s civic body.
