As the nation eagerly counts down to the historic consecration ceremony of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, scheduled for January 22, preparations are in full swing, and excitement is building across India. Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently shared a special message in anticipation of the grand event.
In a tweet, Prime Minister Modi expressed his anticipation for the pranpratishtha (consecration) of Ramlalla in Ayodhya, emphasizing the significance of the occasion. “Only 11 days remain to the pranpratishtha of Ramlalla in Ayodhya. I am fortunate that I too will witness this holy occasion. God created me to represent all the citizens of India during pranpratishtha. Keeping this in mind, I am beginning an 11-day special anushthan from today…,” he tweeted.
With the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony of Lord Ram approaching, a dedicated group of confectioners from Varanasi and Gujarat are in Ayodhya, meticulously preparing sweet offerings for dignitaries and devotees. These skilled confectioners are tasked with crafting laddus made with pure desi ghee, which will be presented as prasad during the ceremony.
Scheduled for January 22, the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony at the Ram Temple will be presided over by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The event has garnered global attention, with VVIP guests from India and abroad receiving invitations to witness the historic occasion.
However, amid the anticipation and excitement, some political figures, including Congress leaders like national president Mallikarjun Kharge, former president Sonia Gandhi, and the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, have declined the invitation to the Ram Temple opening. They labeled it as an event associated with the BJP and the RSS.
Vedic rituals for the ‘Pran-Pratishtha’ ceremony of Ram Lalla (infant Lord Ram) in Ayodhya are set to commence on January 16, a week before the main ceremony. As the country gears up for this momentous occasion, all eyes are on Ayodhya, where history will unfold with the consecration of the Ram Mandir.
