New Delhi: Congress MP Jairam Ramesh announced that a rally titled ‘Jai Bapu, Jai Bhim, Jai Samvidhaan’ will be organized in Mhow, Madhya Pradesh, on January 27, 2025, in response to Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s recent remarks about Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. The rally will be attended by Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi, and other senior leaders.

Ramesh, speaking to ANI, stated, “Rallies are being held in blocks, districts, and states across the country to protest against Amit Shah’s comments, which have insulted Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar. The rally in Mhow, Ambedkar’s birthplace, will be a significant event to assert our stand.”

The rally will be followed by a Congress leadership meeting on January 28 at the party’s new office, which will include Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) presidents, general secretaries, and in-charges. This gathering will focus on the ‘Nav Satyagraha Sankalp’ resolution and finalize the party’s plans for the ‘Samvidhan Bachao National Padyatra’, a year-long campaign running from January 26, 2025, to January 26, 2026, aimed at protecting constitutional values.

The Congress has criticized Amit Shah’s remarks as undermining Ambedkar’s legacy. The rally and the padyatra seek to reinforce Ambedkar’s ideals of equality, justice, and democracy while mobilizing public support for constitutional governance.

The ‘Jai Bapu, Jai Bhim, Jai Samvidhaan’ slogan reflects the Congress’s homage to Mahatma Gandhi, Dr. Ambedkar, and the Indian Constitution, promoting unity and justice against perceived challenges to these principles.
