In the wake of unprecedented and destructive unseasonal rain and hailstorms wreaking havoc on agricultural lands across Maharashtra, the Congress Party has mobilized a comprehensive inspection effort. Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee President, Nana Patole, announced that 34 eminent leaders of the Congress Party have been entrusted with the task of assessing the extensive damage incurred in all 34 districts of the state.
Expressing grave concern over the plight of farmers facing substantial losses due to this natural calamity, Patole affirmed, “The Congress Party stands shoulder to shoulder with the affected farmers and will leave no stone unturned in ensuring substantial aid reaches them promptly.”
The distribution of responsibilities for surveying the damages has been meticulously delegated among key Congress leaders. Notable assignments include:
- Balasaheb Thorat: Overseeing Nashik district
- Ashok Chavan: Evaluating damages in Nanded
- Vijay Wadettiwar: Assisting in Nagpur
- Prithviraj Chavan: Leading inspections in Pune
- Naseem Khan and Basavaraj Patil: Delegated to Thane and Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar district respectively
- And many more prominent leaders spread across different districts.
“These leaders will directly assess the impact on crops and farming communities, providing critical information for the Congress Party to liaise effectively with the government and secure immediate aid for the affected farmers,” stated Nana Patole.
The survey aims to compile comprehensive data on the extent of devastation caused by the erratic weather conditions, enabling the Congress Party to advocate for tailored relief measures, agricultural support, and financial assistance to aid the distressed farming community.
The Congress Party reaffirms its commitment to standing by the farmers during this challenging period and will diligently pursue the implementation of measures to alleviate their hardships.
