Chhath Puja is being celebrated in different parts of the country including Bihar, UP and Delhi with religious fervour and devotion. Devotees will offer oblations to the setting Sun this evening. This Puja is dedicated to the worship of the Sun God and to thank for supporting life on earth. Chhath is celebrated on the sixth day of the month of Karthik in the Vikram Samvat. Our Patna Correspondent reports that the festive fervor, overriding differences of caste and community, brings together devotees of all sections to the same ghats for worshipping the Sun God.
The four-day Chhath Puja will culminate with oblation to the rising Sun tomorrow morning.
