In the Union Territory of Chandigarh, the administration has allowed non-essential shops like auto service centres to be open till 3.00 P.M from today. But the salons, barber shops, spa and malls will continue to remain closed.
The Advisor to Administrator of Chandigarh has clarified that only shops selling essential items like chemists and groceries can remain open till 5:00 P.M. The Samparak Centres have been opened from 9AM to 5PM but the COVID protocol and guidelines will be followed strictly.
He said that during lockdown due to Covid epidemic chemist shops are free to remain open 24 hours daily on all the seven days of week. He said that sports complexes will remain closed but restaurants and hotels will be allowed home delivery only till further orders. The new orders will be in force till June 1, 2021.
