Central government to give additional Amphotericin B injection to states and UTs to treat black fungus, check the list here

Black fungus cases are surging in India and to control this centre government has made it a notifiable disease. There are thousands of cases of black fungus in the country and to treat the patients  Amphotericin B injection is needed. 

Centre government has decided to provide additional injections to states and UTs, so here’s the list .

People catch mucormycosis by coming in contact with the fungal spores in the environment. It can also develop on the skin after the fungus enters the skin through a cut, scrape, burn, or other types of skin trauma.

The Union Health Ministry on Thursday in a letter to States and Union Territories has asked to make Mucormycosis or black fungus a notifiable disease under the Epidemic Diseases Act 1897.
