The matter is scheduled to be heard on April 29 by a bench comprising Justices BR Gavai and Sandeep Mehta.
The Calcutta High Court’s intervention led to the CBI registering three FIRs related to the incidents on January 5. These FIRs pertain to various alleged offenses, including illegal land acquisitions, acts of violence, and instances of sexual assault against women in the Sandeshkhali region.
The attack on the ED team in Sandeshkhali on January 5, amidst allegations of an alleged ration scam, highlights the volatile nature of the situation in the area.
