Manoj Jarange Patil is leading the Maratha reservation agitation and has urged supporters to prepare for a possible mobilisation towards Mumbai.

Mumbai: The Bombay High Court on Tuesday restrained Maratha activist Manoj Jarange from holding a protest at Azad Maidan in Mumbai without prior permission from the authorities.

The court emphasized that protests cannot take place in the city’s prime locations without official clearance. However, the bench also stated that the Maharashtra government could suggest an alternative venue, such as Kharghar or Navi Mumbai, where Jarange could lawfully organize his demonstration.
