Delhi: Panic spread across the national capital on Monday morning after several schools in different parts of Delhi received bomb threat messages, prompting swift action from security agencies and emergency services.

According to officials, alerts were received by nine schools within a brief window during the early hours of the school day. As soon as the threats were reported, school managements contacted local police stations, setting off a high-level security response.

Teams from the Delhi Police, Fire Services, and Bomb Disposal Squads were immediately dispatched to the affected campuses. As a safety measure, students, teachers, and non-teaching staff were evacuated from classrooms and school buildings and moved to secure open areas while thorough checks were conducted.

The sudden evacuations caused distress among students and anxiety among parents. Many parents rushed to school premises after receiving messages from authorities, with several choosing to take their children home amid uncertainty.

Security personnel carried out systematic inspections of school premises to rule out any danger. Officials said such threats are treated with utmost seriousness, especially when they involve educational institutions, and investigations have been launched to trace the source of the alerts.
