BMC begging in CM Thackeray’s home-ward for homeopathy preventive medicine to MNS!

MNS leader alleged that in the frontline of Covid fight, the CM Thackeray’s BMC is in poor state of suffering, whereas the Mumbai Mayor Kishori Pednekar raised doubt on credibility of medicines provided by MNS!

Mumbai: The Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray’s ruling  Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) demanded homeopathy preventive medicine (Arsenicum Album 30) for its own COVID-19 warriors, from Raj Thackeray’s Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS).

In a letter (which is in possession of TheNews21) the Solid Waste Management (SWM) department has asked for 1,000 bottles of Arsenicum Album 30 for its staff from Akhil Chitre the Vice President of MNS Youth-wing. The BMC H-East ward demanded 1000 bottles of Arsenic Album 30 which they want to use (consume) to boost their immunity.

The H-East ward assistant engineer Uddhav Chandanshive has written on May 27, to Akhil Chitre and Dr Sameer Chaukar and asked for 1,000 bottles of Arsenicum Album 30 for their COVID-19 warrior staff.  Interestingly the H-East ward of BMC is the high profile ward as it is residential area of Chief Minister, Uddhav Thackeray and two sate cabinet ministers Aaditya Thackeray and Anil Parab. All the six-corporators of H-East are from Sena party. 

Akhil said, “We have supplied the medicines needed for COVID-19 warrior staff of SWM department of BMC on May 29. They had demanded for 1000 bottles of Arsenicum Album 30 the Homeopathy preventive medicine recommended by the AYUSH Ministry. It is really sad that BMC H-East ward had to ask for these medicines for their own staff. This ward is declared as Red-Zone as maximum cases of Covid-19 are reported.”

Chitre mentioned that the MNS had earlier also fulfilled the demand of H-East ward COVID-19 warrior BMC staff.

“If the CM Thackeray and his son Aaditya are unable to provide preventive medicine to their own BMC staff that too in their own residential ward, what would be the condition of other BMC COVID-19 warriors who are risking their lives to fight against coronavirus”, added Akhil Chitre.

When asked Mumbai Mayor Kishori Pednekar promptly explained that the homeopathy preventive medicine does not have any chemical Arsenic in it and that the MNS is providing sugar coated pills under the name of the medicine.

The Mumbai Mayor remarked,”to increase immunity power why to risk lives of my BMC staff. Who is MNS? They are providing sugar pills instead of Arsenicum Album-30 .”

BMC Health Committee Chairman Amey Ghole said, “the letter written by the H-East ward assistant engineer Uddhav Chandanshive demanding 1,000 bottles of Arsenic Album 30 was by mistake. Chandanshive wanted to use these medicines for personal use and hence had made the demand. He will officially withdraw his letter given to MNS.”

Vials of Arsenic Album 30 compound known to treat a range of symptoms such as insomnia, digestive disorders, allergies, anxiety and even depression – are flying off the shelves of homoeopaths after the AYUSH Ministry declared it as “preventive” medicine a few weeks ago.
