New Delhi: BJP IT Cell chief Amit Malviya on Tuesday launched a fresh attack on the Congress, alleging that its national spokesperson Pawan Khera holds two active EPIC (voter ID) numbers in Delhi. Malviya claimed this was proof that the Congress was the “quintessential vote thief,” responsible for “mutilating the electoral system” and “stealing mandates” by legitimising infiltrators and non-Indians.

On his X handle, Malviya shared details of Khera’s voter IDs, stating that one number (XHC1992338) is registered in Jangpura Assembly constituency under East Delhi, while the second (SJE0755967) is registered in New Delhi Assembly constituency, under the New Delhi Lok Sabha seat.

This allegation comes just a day after Congress leader Rahul Gandhi warned the BJP of exposing them with a so-called “hydrogen bomb” on alleged vote theft.

Taking a swipe at Gandhi, Malviya said, “Rahul Gandhi screamed ‘Vote Chori’ from the rooftops. But just like he forgot to mention that his mother Sonia Gandhi enlisted herself in India’s voter list even before becoming an Indian citizen, it has now emerged that Pawan Khera, Congress spokesperson – who never misses a chance to flaunt his proximity to the Gandhis – holds two active EPIC numbers.”

Malviya urged the Election Commission of India (ECI) to investigate how Khera managed to hold two voter IDs and whether he had voted multiple times, which would be a violation of electoral laws. He added, “As if the criminality of holding multiple votes isn’t enough, Pawan Khera is holding malicious press conferences in Bihar to mislead voters, create dissonance, and undermine India’s robust electoral process.”

The BJP leader further hit out at Rahul Gandhi for not filing a formal complaint with the ECI under oath regarding his allegations of voter fraud in Karnataka. Malviya also reminded that the Supreme Court had already dismissed a similar case in Maharashtra.

Calling the Congress a habitual offender, Malviya wrote, “The fact is simple: Congress is the quintessential vote chor. For far too long, they mutilated our electoral system, stole mandates by legitimising illegal infiltrators and non-Indians. Now they are worried that the Special Intensive Revision by the Election Commission will expose them further.”
