BJP leader Sudhanshu Trivedi Slams Rahul Gandhi: “Low Standards, No Maturity to Lead Opposition”

New Delhi: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP and senior spokesperson Sudhanshu Trivedi launched a sharp political attack on Congress leader and Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi, accusing him of lacking the maturity, wisdom, and leadership required for the constitutional post he now holds in the Lok Sabha. The BJP leader criticised Gandhi’s recent remarks targeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi, terming them disrespectful and indicative of poor political judgment.

Trivedi escalated the attack by challenging Gandhi’s comments on the BJP-RSS, claiming that such remarks only expose the Congress leader’s frustration and the party’s fading relevance. He said that the BJP, once underestimated by the Congress, has now become a dominant force that has rendered the grand old party politically insignificant in many states.

Further intensifying his criticism, Trivedi revisited multiple historical instances where, according to him, Congress governments compromised national interest. He referred to what he described as a series of strategic and diplomatic failures—from post-Partition decisions and the 1948 Kashmir issue, to the handling of the 1971 war and the UPA’s response to the 26/11 attacks. Each instance, he argued, was evidence of repeated capitulation under Congress leadership.

Highlighting the BJP’s contrasting approach, Trivedi praised the current government’s firm stance on national security and lauded the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, portraying him as a strong and fearless leader who inspires confidence in the armed forces and the nation.
