Mumbai: AS the country is under a 21 day lockdown due to COVID19 pandemic, there are millions of poor and homeless people who are suffering the most. Since there is no work, they are facing acute problems and their survival is at stake. Responding to the call given by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, to come forward to help the needy, state unit of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has launched series of relief works across the state. Leader of Opposition in state Legislative Assembly, Devendra Fadnavis today reviewed the work going on in different parts of the state.
The party has gone all out to help the poor, migrant workers, homeless who have nowhere to go. More than 1.25 lakh party workers are at ground zero in 450 divisions across all the districts of the state providing essential commodities to the needy, free of cost. The party has set up blood donation camps in 10 districts and 300 community kitchens across the state, apart from sanitization of 1000 villages.

The party has distributed medicines, fertilizers and seeds to farmers. Fadnavis is coordinating the relief works with various party office bearers, MLAs, MPs Mayors, Zilla Parishad Presidents and other party workers at grass root level, over audio bridge. Today, it was decided to increase the number of cadre working at ground zero.
Union minister Prakash Javdekar, Union Minister Raosaheb Danve, MP Saroj Pandey, V Satish, state unit president Chandrakant Patil, Sudhir Mungantiwar, Pankaja Munde, Ashish Shelar, Pravin Darekar, Chandrashekhar Bawankule, Mangalprabhat Lodha participated in the review meeting. “We must strictly adhere to the lockdown in this difficult time. Party workers who are at ground zero should ensure social distancing while helping as many people as possible,” said Fadnavis. BJP leaders and MLAs are providing essential commodities to people in their respective areas, across the state.
