Bihar Govt clears path for CBI in Sushant Singh Rajput’s death

The Bihar Governor exercised his special power to hand over the abetment of suicide case to the CBI of the Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput.

Mumbai: In the ongoing two states (Bihar and Maharashtra) tussle and matter of jurisdiction, in the case of late Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case. On Tuesday the Bihar state Governor Phagu Chauhan has given its consent by using the special power, for the whole Bihar and other places under the Delhi Special Police Establishment Act, 1946 section -6 for the investigation of offences registered in the First Information Report (FIR) by KK Singh, father of Sushant Singh Rajput. 

The Bihar Governor Phagu Chauhan has given the consent of Bihar government to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in the abetment of suicide case of the late Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput.

According to the Bihar Police team official who is not authorized to talk to the media that after the team of police officials visited in Mumbai for investigation in the FIR registered by the deceased Sushant Singh Rajput’s father they found the theory coined of the Mumbai Police does not match with the prima facie investigation. 

The Chief Minister of Bihar Nitish Kumar confirmed the development on his Twitter account by stating that Bihar government has given its consent to the CBI for investigation into the death case of the Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput.

According to the Bihar Police On July 25, the late actor Sushant’s father, KK Singh has registered a case in Rajiv Nagar police station under various sections of the Indian Penal Code – sections – 341 (wrongful restrains), 342 (punishment for wrongful confinement), 380 (theft), 406 (criminal breach of trust), 420 (cheating), 306 (abetment of suicide), 506(criminal intimidation) and 120 B (criminal conspiracy).

“Singh has alleged in his FIR that Sushant’s girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty and her family members had misused the closeness with the actor. The deceased Sushant’s live-in partner had forcibly stopped his son to attend phone calls. Not limited to just that misusing the closeness she had allegedly transferred huge fund of about Rs.15 crore to some unknown accounts and confined him in such a way that he was totally in depression, “added the official. 

“We are not at all satisfied with the process of investigation by the Mumbai Police now it is up to the new agency CBI to take up the different angles in the death of late actor and investigate it unbiased, ” official added. 

Meanwhile in Mumbai, the BJP leader Narayan Rane in a press conference alleged that Sushant Singh Rajput did not commit suicide and that it is a murder.  

On Tuesday the Mumbai Police appointed Grant Thornton as the forensic auditor in the case. The Mumbai police are probing the case to find out the reason of suicide by the actor and his alleged professional rivalry led him to take a step. After the FIR by K K Singh on alleged financial transactions by Rhea the investigators appointed financial auditor to analyse the account details. 

At the same time the Enforcement Directorate has booked Rhea Chakraborty and her family members of alleged financial transactions from the actor Sushant’s bank account. The ED has also appointed charted accountant on Tuesday to read and analyse the banking details of Sushant to unknown account where Rs.15 crore is transferred.
