Patna: In a scathing attack on the Nitish Kumar-led government in Bihar, RJD leader and former Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav on Tuesday expressed deep concern over the worsening law and order situation in the state. Citing a surge in violent incidents, Tejashwi said that crime has become a daily reality under the current regime.
“Crime is continuously increasing in Bihar. We have always been raising this issue, whether inside the Assembly or outside. Even on social media or through press releases, we release bulletins mentioning where incidents have taken place in Bihar,” Yadav told reporters.
He further alleged that the administrative machinery has collapsed under Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s leadership. “You can understand that the law and order situation in Bihar has completely turned into criminal disorder,” Tejashwi added.
The RJD leader, who has consistently targeted the JD(U)-BJP alliance for failing to ensure public safety, said his party would continue to raise this issue at every platform. He accused the state government of turning a blind eye to the suffering of common people and letting criminals act with impunity.
His remarks come at a time when the state has witnessed several shocking crimes, including high-profile murders, kidnappings, and extortion cases that have triggered public outrage and put the administration under pressure.
