As Uddhav Thackeray indicates he might go to Ayodhya, Congress takes a guarded stance whereas NCP gives green signal
Mumbai: After the Central government declared the date for the Bhoomi Pujan ceremony of Lord Ram’s temple in Ayodhya it has once again stirred the Hindutva atmosphere in Maharashtra. The buzz about who will be invited to this programme is now the talking point among people.
After the Supreme Court gave the green signal to build Ram Mandir in Ayodhya swift actions have begun there to build this old controversial issue based temple.
It is officially confirmed by the Union Government that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will perform the Bhoomi Pujan on August 5. Meanwhile Shiv Sena President and Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray’s visit is being questioned as he visited Ayodhya twice before he became the CM of the secular Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government.
Meanwhile speaking with TheNews21 Shiv Sena Lok Sabha MP Rahul Shewale said “Uddhav ji had gone to Ayodhya later the Supreme court gave the decision to build Ram Mandir there. Shiv Sena’s stance on Ram Mandir is not new, Uddhav Thackeray is now following the steps of Balasaheb Thackeray. Even though there is Aghadi government in the state, Uddhav Thackeray is clear about his stance and he will go to Ayodhya”.
MNS leader Sandeep Deshpande said “If Uddhav Thackeray wants to go to Ayodhya he can go. When it comes to the Ram Mandir issue our party supports it and Raj Saheb (Raj Thackeray) has cleared the party stance through the Twitter account”.
While Uddhav Thackeray’s ally leader of NCP Nawab Malik said “Every person has their own fundamental right to visit their faith temple. I’ll feel bad if someone stops me from visiting Masjid. There is no question to oppose Uddhav Thackeray if he wants to visit Ayodhya.”
“While the coronavirus is spreading across the country Modi government has failed to tackle it and hence to divert people from the actual issue Ram Mandir Bhoomi Pujan programme is taking place” accused Congress state president Balasaheb Thorat.
“Ram Mandir is Uddhav Thackeray’s personal faith thing” remarked Thorat cautiously. –Rishikesh Chavan
