BDC Chairman Langate led delegation calls on DC Kupwara

DC approved playground on the spot, work to begin soon, says Showket Pandith


Srinagar: Block Development Council (BDC), chairman Langate, along with social activists and senior citizens of the Pohru area, on Thursday called on Deputy Commissioner Kupwara Khalid Jahangir and discussed several issues pertaining to the area.

The delegation was led by BDC Chairman Langate Showket Pandith, Farooq Ahmad, Nazir Ahmed Mir and several respectable citizens of this area.

During the hour-long meeting with the Deputy Commissioner of Kupwara, the delegation took up several issues with DC, which included a playground for Pohrupeth-Bungam, repairs of a bridge, and macadamization of roads in the area.

According to the BDC Chairman, the Deputy Commissioner gave the delegation a positive response and directed the revenue officials to convert the state of Khascharie land into a playground. and said all facilities would be provided to the people.

He said the Deputy Commissioner also said a team of revenue officials would visit the spot to check the factual finding of the demarcation. The delegation has expressed gratitude to Deputy Commissioner Kupwara for his positive response.
