According to TV news channel reports, the Bathinda Military Camp shooter has been nabbed by the Army and is being questioned. The killer has been arrested 9 hours after the shooting happened. At least four people were reported killed in a shooting incident at Bathinda Military Station on Wednesday morning, according to the local police.
However, the Indian Army issued a statement clarifying that the shooter is still at large and that the media reports speculating that the shooter has been arrested are false. “Some media outlets are running a story that the shooter, an Army jawan, has been caught. This news is incorrect. Request to all media outlets not to speculate. Any update, as and when available, will be immediately shared,” Army said in a statement.
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will be briefed by the Army Chief General Manoj Pande on the firing incident in a short while.
