New Delhi: In a recent podcast appearance, Dhirendra Krishna Shastri, popularly known as Bageshwar Baba, expressed his strong disapproval of comedian Samay Raina and YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia’s controversial remarks during the India’s Got Talent show. Shastri, renowned for his influence in the religious and spiritual domain, declared that their actions were beyond forgiveness, stating firmly, “Maaf nahi, saaf kar dena chahiye” (Don’t forgive, they should be eliminated).
The controversy stems from a comment made by Ranveer Allahbadia on the show that led to multiple FIRs being filed across the country. The comment, which involved inappropriate and vulgar language, sparked outrage on social media, with netizens calling for accountability. Samay Raina and Apoorva Mukhija, who were also part of the episode, faced backlash for laughing along with Allahbadia’s objectionable statement, further amplifying the outrage.
In the podcast hosted by Shubhankar Mishra, Dhirendra Krishna, while not fully aware of the incident’s details, remarked that he did not expect such behavior from figures like Raina and Allahbadia. When asked if the duo should be forgiven for their first offense, he delivered his stern response, underscoring that such mistakes that harm the Sanatan Hindu religion should not be pardoned but eliminated.
Shastri took a strong stand against individuals who, according to him, are “pretending to be Sanatani” for views and followers, rather than living by the values. “There is a difference between being a Sanatani and pretending to be one… Commenting on Bageshwar Baba is easy, but becoming him is difficult,” Shastri added.
