New Delhi: Delhi’s Leader of the Opposition and AAP leader Atishi on Tuesday strongly condemned the Enforcement Directorate (ED) raids on her party colleague Saurabh Bharadwaj, calling them “100% fake” and a deliberate political ploy.
Addressing the media, Atishi said, “These raids are 100% fake because at the time when this matter pertained, Saurabh Bharadwaj was not even a minister. He became a minister two years later. This is ridiculous. These raids are fake and a strategy to divert attention from PM Modi’s fake degree issue. This is to threaten the AAP. The AAP has not committed a single rupee of corruption.”
She added with defiance, “No matter how many raids are conducted, AAP is ‘Kattar Imaandar’. We are not scared of these raids.” Atishi’s remarks came amid heightened political tension in Delhi, as the ED intensified its probe into alleged irregularities in hospital construction projects linked to Bharadwaj’s tenure as health minister in the previous regime.
