Ajay Maken quits as AICC’s Rajasthan in-charge in protest over no action being taken against 3 loyalists of Gehlot

There is unrest in the Congress with only a fortnight until the Bharat Jodo Yatra is scheduled to enter Rajasthan. Ajay Maken, the state coordinator for the All India Congress Committee (AICC), resigned in protest over the lack of action against the three Ashok Gehlot loyalist who were issued show-cause notices for convening a concurrent Congress Legislature Party (CLP) meeting in Jaipur on September 25.

Earlier, Congress leader Ajay Maken had written to party president Mallikarjun Kharge, expressing his unwillingness to continue as the in-charge of Rajasthan, sources said on Wednesday.
