One year after the Air India AI-171 tragedy, the government has said that the investigation into the crash is now in its final phase. Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu said authorities are working towards completing the inquiry but will not rush the process.

Air India Strengthens Safety Measures
As the investigation continues, Air India has introduced several measures aimed at improving safety and operational reliability.
The airline carried out detailed inspections of its Boeing 787 aircraft fleet under the supervision of aviation regulators. These checks were conducted as part of a wider review following the accident.
Focus on Better Fleet Performance
The airline has expanded programmes designed to improve the performance of its Boeing 787 and Boeing 777 aircraft.
