Mumbai: Dr. Shrikant Shinde Lok Sabha MP from Kalyan, on Thursday paid a surprise visit to the Neon hospital to meet loyal party cadre and former mayor of Kalyan-Dombivali Municipal Corporation (KDMC), Rajendra Devalekar. Dr Shinde took a leaf out of his own father Eknath Shinde in trying to bolster the morale of the party cadres fighting the Coronavirus.
Wearing a PPT kit and taking required precautions, Dr Shrikant Shinde entered the corona special ward to meet Rajendra Devalekar, who is undergoing treatment for Corona in Thane. Shrikant met him, greeted him and motivated him to fight the disease and come back in good health.
Rajendra Devalekar learnt the art of politics under the guidance of late Balasaheb Thackeray and Dharmaveer Anand Dighe.
Shinde said Guardian Minister Eknath Shinde and the Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray had also inquired about his health and wished him good health. Shinde assured him that he will be fine and also told him to call if he needs anything. Listening to these words, Devalekar was emotional.

Last week, Eknath Shinde took precautionary measures like wearing a PPE kit and went to meet Bandya Salvi, a Shiv Sainik in the Covid-affected ward.
Even during the crisis of Corona, at the time where even people do not visit their relatives and friends fearing of the disease, but Eknath Shinde and his son Shrikant Shinde are continuously visiting the Shiv Sainiks to give them strength and motivation to be patient and fight the disease and come back home in good health.
Dr. Shrikant Shinde Foundation has adopted the two children who lost their family in the Mahad building collapse and took their responsibility to give a bright future to both the children. Shinde family is well known for helping the poor and needy.
