In a shocking and tragic incident on the Jaipur-Mumbai Central Express near Palghar railway station, a Railway Protection Force (RPF) constable, identified as Chetan Singh (34), fatally shot his senior colleague, Assistant Sub-Inspector Tika Ram Meena, and three passengers in two different coaches and a pantry car. The train had to stop between Mira Road and Dahisar stations on the Mumbai suburban network, where Singh was apprehended while attempting to escape after pulling the emergency chain.
A video of the incident has emerged on social media, showing the accused brandishing a gun and making alarming statements. While standing near a passenger’s lifeless body, Singh claims that those he killed were linked to Pakistan and urges people to vote only for “Modi and Yogi” if they wish to live in India. However, the authenticity of the video is yet to be verified independently by media sources.
The deceased passengers have been identified as Abdul Qadirbhai Mohammed Hussain Bhanpurwala, Akhtar Abbas Ali, and Sadar Mohammed Hussain. The incident occurred around 5 AM after the Mumbai-bound Jaipur Superfast Express crossed Vapi station in Gujarat.
The motive behind the attack remains unclear, and authorities are conducting a thorough investigation. They are interviewing passengers, RPF personnel, and pantry car staff to piece together the events leading up to the shooting.
