The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), under the leadership of Arvind Kejriwal, has revealed its blueprint for engaging in the forthcoming Bihar Assembly elections. This move has the potential to impact the cohesion of the Opposition, casting a shadow on the horizon as the nation approaches the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. AAP’s General Secretary, Sandeep Pathak, spearheaded a meeting with leaders and members of the Bihar Unit in the capital city to discuss this pivotal decision.

While the Bihar Assembly elections are slated for 2025, AAP’s preparations are already in motion. During the session, Sandeep Pathak accentuated the significance of enhancing the party’s presence in Bihar. Ajesh Yadav, an AAP legislator from Delhi and the party’s Bihar in-charge, was also a notable participant in the discussions.

Pathak lamented Bihar’s unfortunate stagnation due to divisive politics and emphasized AAP’s intention to participate in the state’s elections. However, he emphasized the prerequisite of a robust organizational framework before entering the electoral arena.

To bolster the party’s foundation, Pathak encouraged Bihar leaders to establish committees in every village, thereby expanding their organizational footprint.

Pathak affirmed that AAP’s approach to Bihar’s elections would mirror the fervor demonstrated in Gujarat. The initial entry into Bihar would revolve around local body elections, reflecting the party’s strategic roadmap.

Expressing criticism toward the BJP, Pathak faulted the current challenging circumstances in the country and underscored the need for tangible solutions, contrasting with the string of speeches provided over the past nine years by PM Modi.

In the context of the opposition coalition, named the Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (INDIA), Pathak acknowledged divergent viewpoints while emphasizing the nation’s welfare. He added that AAP holds the status of a national party and intends to participate in the Lok Sabha elections, leaving discussions about partnerships for a later phase.
