New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Sanjay Singh on Wednesday took a sharp dig at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), mocking their criticism of AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal. Singh said the BJP’s accusations were laughable, given the transformative initiatives Kejriwal has introduced in Delhi.
Speaking to ANI, Singh said, “The BJP, which lies day and night, is questioning Arvind Kejriwal, who has provided free electricity, water, education, and treatment to the people of Delhi. He introduced free bus services for women, built new roads, and installed three lakh CCTV cameras. People will laugh at them. The BJP has become a part of a comedy circus, and their words should not be taken seriously.”
The Rajya Sabha MP credited Kejriwal’s leadership for ensuring public welfare and accused the BJP of fabricating false narratives against AAP. “Despite all the struggles and hurdles created by the BJP over the past two years, AAP has continued to thrive due to the support of the people,” Singh added.
Launching a scathing attack, Singh labeled the BJP as the “Bhartiya Jhootha Party” (Indian Lying Party), accusing it of failing to deliver on key promises. “They lied about creating two crore jobs, lied about doubling farmers’ income, and lied about giving Rs 15 lakh to every Indian by bringing back black money. Their credibility is in shambles,” he said.
The political exchange comes as the AAP and BJP continue to clash over governance models, public welfare, and allegations of corruption, with Singh’s comments intensifying the war of words between the two parties. The BJP is yet to respond to Singh’s remarks.
